After The Flood
The water came at night. By morning, Rebecca and her three children had a roof that was gone and a choice no mother should make: food or shelter.
Our partner’s emergency response team — on the ground within days, backed by TPF crisis funding — meant she didn’t have to choose. A food parcel, dry clothes, a temporary room, and then the slower work: help replacing documents, re-enrolling the children in school, getting back to work.
“People came for us when we had nothing,” Rebecca says. “That is what I will remember.”
