A Class Room Out Of Dark
The school had desks with three legs, a roof that let in more rain than light, and 174 children who came anyway.
This year, through our programme work with the local community, the school was rebuilt: a safe roof, proper desks, a library corner with its first fifty books. Teachers received training and materials; attendance is up by a third.
Places like this are why TPF runs programmes of our own — some darkness you have to walk into yourself.
